Navgujarat College of Computer Applications | Year of Establishment: 1999
Vidyabhavan Trust pioneered the launch of Computer Courses in Gujarat. This was the time when the word computer was not so often heard of. The effort continued over two decades, later translated into the establishment of Navgujarat College of Computer Applications in 1999.
In line with the vision of Vidyabhavan Trust to provide inclusive education for all and adapting to the fast-changing requirements of the modern world, Navgujarat College of Computer Applications was established. It is a self-financed college affiliated with Gujarat University. It’s setting up was a commitment of Vidyabhavan Trust to keep pace with 21st century’s modern technology and to provide the best education to the young students in the form of graduation courses in Computer Science.
The institution offers a three-year Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme. The programme is in tandem with the curriculum prescribed by Gujarat University in the field of computing and mathematics.

About Navgujarat Group of Colleges
The Navgujarat Group of Colleges founded under the aegis of Vidyabhavan Trust in 1964, have been at the forefront of providing higher education in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat for more than 60 years. Founded by noted educationist, Prin. MC Shah, a much-lauded pioneer of higher education and a revered visionary in the education sector, Vidyabhavan Trust, through Navgujarat Group of Colleges, has ensured that youth from all cross sections of society can access quality higher education, and through their learning and profession contribute to the betterment of human society.
The alumni of Navgujarat Group of Colleges are testament not only to the rich legacy of providing world-class higher education but also to a commitment to character-building and developing an open and inquisitive outlook amongst its students.
Today, five colleges affiliated with Gujarat University are being successfully run and managed by the trust, offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Law, Arts, Commerce and Computer Applications, and benefitting thousands of young students year after year.
Since its inception in 1962, the Vidyabhavan Trust worked towards a focussed goal: To promote higher education among youth in the post-independence era and provide them opportunities for skill development and livelihoods.
Vidyabhavan Trust began its journey in the education sector with the launch of MC Shah Commerce College in 1963, with a clear maxim of ‘Earning with Learning’, aiming to promote livelihood and education.
